Dr Peter Kirkpatrick is the owner of My Pet's Mobile Vet and has a passion for small animals, whether they are dogs, cats, birds, rabbits or guinea pigs.
Dr Peter has an exciting past, with one of his greatest achievements being named Young Australian of the Year in 2002 for WA and a Finalist in the National Young Australian of the Year award. Peter's research into the chytrid fungus that affects many of our countries frogs was recognised across the country and in numerous research papers and thesis.
Dr Peter has been a Veterinary Surgeon for over a decade and has worked across the country with a variety of animals. Beginning his career at Mundaring Veterinary Hospital, Peter was then approached to work for the Australian Government in Melbourne, King Island and Tasmania for many years, while also starting up his Mobile Vet Practice - My Pet's Mobile Vet.
Peter's love for WA meant his return to the West Coast in 2006, where he moved to Geraldton and continued to grow his mobile vet service over 6 years, with many clients even today in 2014 requesting his services. With many happy and loyal clients over his 6 years as a mobile vet in Geraldton, Peter still makes the effort to regularly visit his clients and treat their pets.
Upon moving to Perth, Peter bought Bayswater Vet Clinic and treated many amazing patients, along with meeting their wonderful owners for alomst 6 years. Most recently, Dr Peter has bought Caryn Vet Hospital in Edgewater but continues to offer mobile home visits to most areas of the wider suburban Perth area.
In his "spare" time, Peter enjoys playing squash and tennis, as well as going to the gym, hiking and kayaking, and spending time with his little baby girl Madeline.
